Every season, a new fitness tracker will be introduced to the National Steps Challenge participants. Season 5 begins on 26 October 2019, and AXTRO Fit 2 is the next fitness tracker developed in collaboration with National Health Promotion Board, Singapore.
AXTRO is a home-grown Singapore company established in 2004, focusing on research, development and manufacturing of Internet-of-Things devices and solutions. The AXTRO Fit 2 comes with the following features:
- Colour screen with user-friendly interface and viewable under sunlight
- Improved heart rate sensor (more accurate heart rate tracking and detection)
- Steps and activity tracking with improved g-sensor
- Dual watch-face (either digital or analogue watch-faces for user selection)
- Extended battery life (last 5-7 days per charge)
- Magnetic charging cradle (much easier to charge device compared to previous models)
- Workout Mode (track your exercise more easily and view real-time heart rate)
- Water resistant (not suited for swimming, bathing)
Works with Healthy 365
The retail unit comes with the fitness band, magnetic charging dock, and quick start guide. To get it started, install the Healthy 365 app on your smartphone, register an account (if you have not done so), click the “app” menu, and select the new tracker. The phone will detect the AXTRO Fit 2 and display a pairing code for you to enter. Once paired successfully, the date and time will be synced to the fitness tracker and you will see your health stats on the app.
Free Collection
From 27 September 2019, Singaporeans and permanent residents who did not collect a heart-rate monitoring fitness tracker during Season 4 will be eligible to receive a complimentary unit of AXTRO Fit 2. For the Silver Generation (eligible individuals born in year 1959 or earlier!), a special edition AXTRO Fit 2 (Silver Challenge) will be given to them free as well, which includes an additional special strap.
Eligible individuals can authorise their family members to collect the trackers on their behalf by providing a softcopy or photocopy of their NRIC for verification during collection. Each person can collect a maximum of 3 fitness trackers (including their own).
