Last year, TP-LINK lauched their first smartphone series, Neffos C Series. I did a detailed review on both the Neffos C5 and Neffos C5 Max, and generally quite like them for its low price and sufficient features. I was quite impressed with the UX that is straightforward, effective and responsive.
This year, TP-LINK continues to expand its smartphone product line with Neffos X1 and X1 Max.
While the C series are plastic back and removable battery, the X series are designed for the new generation of consumers who love premium metal feel and fingerprint sensor security.
Here are some key selling points on the new X series:
- Premium metal design
- Faster fingerprint response – The smartphones can unlock within 0.2 seconds.
- Good camera spec – Front 13MP, f/2.0 Sony BSI sensor. Rear 5MP.
- Processor – 8-core MediaTek Helio P10 chipset with 2/3/4GB RAM and 16/32/64GB storage variants
- Price – X1 retails at S$249. X1 Max retails at S$329.
Availability
Neffos X1 is available now in 2 colours – Cloudy Grey and Sunrise Gold – at authorised Neffos stores and online stores like Lazada while Neffos X1 Max will be on sale from 31 March 2017.
Review
I will be getting hold of the units soon for detailed reviews. Stay tuned!
