Sony’s NW-A26HN is an updated release to the earlier A15 which was given to me by Sony during a campaign last year. From the photo above, you can see that they are identical in exterior, with just a few differences:
- A20-series support built-in active noise cancellation when used with special headphones like MDR-NW750N.
- Wider colour choices.
- A26 32GB model comes with NW750N earphones at the same price as older A17 32GB.
The menu layout has slight difference to accommodate the new Noise Cancelling icon. The Playlist icon at the top right corner is replaced with Bookmark icon.
If you do not need active noise cancelling, you might want to save some cash by buying the A10-series older model. But if you love the new colours and prefer an updated model, then go for the A20-series. Or if you prefer a higher-quality Walkman that lets you play 24-bit DSD audio files with built-in 128GB memory, check out NW-ZX100.
