Insta360 X3 Announced for Sale in Singapore

Insta360 has announced a new 360 camera that is built for the social age. Compared to other imaging technologies, 360 cameras are relatively under-developed. I have started experiencing 360 content in 2016 when companies like Motorola, Samsung, and LG launched 360-degree cameras and accessories for their smartphones. That’s also the same time when the first Insta360 product was launched.

After half a decade, when the rest of the brands have faded, Insta360 remains committed to the 360 format. The X3 features 1/2-inch 48MP sensors and 2.29-inch touchscreen, which makes the camera so much more usable. The specs are here for your drooling:

  • Shoot first, reframe later
  • Active HDR mode to stabilise video action footage
  • “Me mode” frames the footage to focus on you while keeping the selfie stick invisible
  • Single-Lens mode captures 170-degree at 2.7K resolution
  • 72MP still photos
  • 8K 360 timelapses
  • Bullet Time effect shoots up to 4K 120fps or 3K 180fps
  • FlowState Stabilisation keeps video ultra-stable
  • 360-degree Horizontal Lock keeps the horizontal level even when the camera is rotated
  • 10m waterproof
  • Supports Loop Recording mode that transforms into dashcam
  • AI-powered editing with mobile app to help create viral-worthy content

The Insta360 X3 will retail in Singapore at S$669.99.
