Last night I was applying anti-stretch cream on my wife’s tummy again, but not before I said ‘Hello’ to Baby. It probably woke her up, so she started moving in Mummy’s tummy. Mummy always wanted me to feel the baby kick, but I never had the chance to feel clearly. Last night, she placed my hand on her tummy, then I said to Baby, “Kick, Baby!” And she did!

After the tummy rub, we went to sleep, but Mummy said Baby keeps kicking inside her. Then I remembered I didn’t read ‘bedtime stories’ to Baby, so I just blabbered nonsense – anyway, babies don’t understand what we say. Apparently it helps and she hibernated.

Just one of those definitive paternal moments that makes pregnancy beautiful.
