For the first time in many years, I am writing a diary (blog) entry on a Sunday. Surreal.

Sundays are time to rest and do some work on my hobbies. Not forgetting doing housework like laundry and changing bedsheets. As I get more and more involved in my hobbies, I begin to feel the toll on me. Previously, I only have music stuffs to occupy my free time. Now there is photography to be contended with.

Having said that, I am finding good balance between the 2 arts, toggling between them over periods of time. I find this very therapeutic: it helps me to sustain both interests and yet not getting daunted by being overwhelmed by any of them.

I am supposed to be working on my next music album, but no inspiration came upon me for the past weeks. Then yesterday, I had it back again (I knew it! Playing for ballet classes helps in my creativity work!)

Anyway, my brother-in-law (my wife’s brother) just got married last Friday and went to Paris and London for honeymoon. Today he called us for dinner and gave us only 20 minutes advance notice. I had taken some photos on his wedding and would really want to pass him the photos so I quickly pounced on my PC to finish editing the last few sets of photos. I made it.

As I was not the official photographer, I was able to shoot whatever I like and be wherever I like. But most of the time, I was enjoying the banquet at the table, so I thought might as well shoot the food. It helps when the lighting is perfect: each table has a beam of white spot light so that we can see our food clearly, unlike some other banquets where they expect guests to enjoy their dinner under candlelight-like conditions.

BTW, the wedding dinner is held at Swissotel Stamford.
