Britain’s Got Talent, so where’s ours?

I was shown this clip of a 6-year-old British girl, Connie Talbot, singing “Ben” for the reality contest, Britain’s Got Talent. Absolutely beautifully expressive voice you would never expect from a person her age. No one can resist the charming girl, who one of the judges commented, is possibly “the best 6-year-old singer in the world.” Watch and be touched.

But that’s not all. Another contestant attempts to wow Britain with… opera. This video clip is possibly one of the most unexpectedly shockingly pleasant video moment, and very well-edited indeed. And catch Simon Cowell’s priceless expression as the contestant sings his first line. Presenting mobile phone salesman, Paul Potts, in his first audition.

In case you wonder, Paul went on to win the first season of “Britain’s Got Talent”.
