Piginings

‘Tis the beginning of the Lunar Year of the Pig.

It’s been a long time since I snapped photos of everyday events with the convenience of a compact digicam. Too long have I been burdened with a heavy and bulky DSLR that deprives me of getting simple shots, nothing professional-looking nor requires sharp grain-free images. With a DSLR, I can never look inconspicuous in front of relatives, which is one reason why I did not bring it out to shoot family events.

Ironic, that being an avid photographer myself, this is the first time I have actually documented the Lunar New Year celebrations on photographs.

While driving, we spotted this ‘sunflower’ bike, who apparently appeared on papers due to its outlandish decor.
