Project Halfway

I’ve completed 15 tracks for my next music album. Another 15 to go. Usually the second half is the most arduous, because you would have used up all your creativity and inspiration for the earlier songs.

In case you are wondering how I could have written 15 songs for the past 3 weeks, I am not actually composing new songs. I’m merely sifting through my archives of compositions I have done for the past 7 years and rework. For many songs, I remaster the tracks. For some, I re-record.

When I got married in 2001, I produced a wedding album of 15 original compositions and played it during the wedding banquet. The songs are very personal, with track names like ‘The Long Aisle’, ‘Sunday Morning’, ‘Our Favourite Time of the Year’, and so on. For the upcoming album, I will be publishing them, so do expect a romantic album.

This new album will most likely be called ‘Piano Spa 3’. Releasing in early Jan 2007.
